At FairCV, we fundamentally believe that your personal employment history, contact information, phone numbers, and compensation details belong to you. By default, FairCV operates on a local-first architecture: all resume creation, editing, and formatting take place client-side inside your web browser, and your data is stored exclusively in your device's localStorage.
If you optionally choose to sign in to enable Cross-Device Cloud Sync (to access your tailored resumes across your laptop and mobile phone), your resume data is transmitted securely to your private, encrypted cloud storage (powered by Supabase) protected by strict Row Level Security (RLS) policies. Only your authenticated credentials can read, modify, or delete your resumes. We never sell, rent, or harvest your career data.
All payment transactions for clean, unwatermarked PDF exports ($4.00 single fee or $14.00 for a 30-day active pass) are securely processed via third-party PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways (such as Stripe). FairCV does not store, process, or have access to your full credit card numbers or banking credentials.
We do not use invasive tracking cookies or third-party behavioral advertising pixels. We may use privacy-friendly, anonymized traffic telemetry to monitor application performance and ensure uptime across our content delivery network.
